Reverend Karon Jackson was born in Sumter, South Carolina to the late Joseph and Victoria Jackson. He is a graduate of St. Mark High School, Kingstree, South Carolina, and attended classes at Williamsburg Technical College, Kingstree, South Carolina for Auto Mechanics.
Pastor Jackson is a graduate of Morris College School of Religion Extension, Sumter, South Carolina and a graduate of Allen University with a BA in Religion – Pastoral Care.
He has held the pastoral charges at St. Ann-Acadia Missionary Baptist Church, Georgetown, South Carolina for four years and twenty-one years at New Bethel Sandy Island Missionary Baptist Church, Pawleys Island, South Carolina. He is currently the pastor of New Zion Baptist Church, Lake City, SC and the co-founder and pastor of Hope, Harmony and Harvest Ministry, Hemingway, SC. He has served on the Executive Board of the Jerusalem Association; Vice Moderator of Georgetown Missionary Baptist and Educational Union #1; Moderator of Georgetown Missionary Baptist and Educational Union #1, and Executive Board Member – St. John Association
Previous employment includes Wellman, Incorporated for twenty-two years; Georgetown County Detention Center for one and half year; Tupperware as a Material Handler; Custodian for Waccamaw Elementary School; a member of the Superintendent Cabinet Georgetown County
School District; currently the Building Manager and the “2018 Support Staff of the Year” for Georgetown High School, Georgetown, South Carolina.
God saw that two of his servants needed someone to share their Christ-like walk with, He joined together in Holy Matrimony Reverend Jackson and the former Angelia Scott. To this union are four children: Aaron, Delicia, Sabrina and Cornell. Seven grandchildren: Amilya, Cameron,
Jaelyn, Caleah, Princeton, Ian and Sireamir.
Even with all of his accomplishments, he continuously gives praise to Jesus Christ for He is the Head of his life and his guiding scripture states,“I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” ~Jeremiah 3:15
